Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale, which included the work The Judgment Of Paris by Hans Rottenhammer. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 65,000.00 (€ 88,266.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hans Rottenhammer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 1,241,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Judgment Of Paris von Hans Rottenhammer zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 65.000,00 (€ 88.266,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hans Rottenhammer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Le festin des dieux : Le mariage de Bacchus et d'Ariane im Juni 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.241.000,00.
