This artwork by Hannah Wilke achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2018. In the Contemporary Art Online: NYC auction, the work Untitled, 'Circa' 1965 sold for USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,144.37) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Hannah Wilke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work S.O.S. Starification Object Series in September 2017 with an auction result of USD 708,500.00 (€ 599,762.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Hannah Wilke erzielte im Juli 2018 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC wurde die Arbeit Untitled, 'Circa' 1965 für USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.144,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Hannah Wilke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit S.O.S. Starification Object Series im September 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 708.500,00 (€ 599.762,97).
