In October 2011 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three, which included the work Untitled (2001) by Hannah Starkey. The auction ended at the price of EUR 3,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Hannah Starkey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999 in April 2006 with an auction result of USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,357.41).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion The BAT Artventure Collection formerly known as The Peter Stuyvesant Collection – Part Three durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (2001) von Hannah Starkey zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 3.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Hannah Starkey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled, February, August, October, 1998-1999 im April 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.357,41).
