This work without title by Hafidh al-Droubi was sold in the Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Dubai in March 2017. The »bidding war« ended at USD 32,500.00 (€ 30,379.51), 63% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Hafidh al-Droubi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kadhimain Alley, which sold at auction in November 2021 for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,639.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Hafidh al-Droubi wurde im März 2017 in der Auktion Dubai: Modern and Contemporary Art bei Christies in Dubai versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 30.379,51) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Hafidh al-Droubi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Kadhimain Alley beobachtet, die im November 2021 für GBP 52.500,00 (€ 61.639,94) versteigert wurde.
