In November 2015 Christies in London held the auction Posters, which included the work Pneu Velo Michelin by H. L. Roowy. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,424.35) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by H. L. Roowy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work PNEU VÉLO MICHELIN, which sold at auction in June 2015 for GBP 2,250.00 (€ 3,172.47).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Posters durch, in der auch die Arbeit Pneu Velo Michelin von H. L. Roowy zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.424,35) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von H. L. Roowy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit PNEU VÉLO MICHELIN beobachtet, die im Juni 2015 für GBP 2.250,00 (€ 3.172,47) versteigert wurde.
