Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Stained Glass studies - 16 panels by György Kepes was sold in the Studio Art | Bonhams Skinner auction at Bonhams in May this year. The price achieved of USD 1,657.50 (€ 1,555.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by György Kepes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May 2020 with an auction result of USD 23,825.00 (€ 21,467.83).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.657,50 (€ 1.555,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden.
