Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Modern British and Irish Art, which included the work Blues And Cantabile by Gwyther Irwin. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,873.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gwyther Irwin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work West Of Thornton in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 45,600.00 (€ 67,726.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Modern British and Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Blues And Cantabile von Gwyther Irwin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.873,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gwyther Irwin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit West Of Thornton im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 45.600,00 (€ 67.726,53).
