Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Indian Summer Morning by Guy Wiggins was sold in the American Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2008. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 15,817.78) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guy Wiggins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The New York Stock Exchange in December 2005 with an auction result of USD 374,400.00 (€ 316,162.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Indian Summer Morning von Guy Wiggins wurde im März 2008 in der Auktion American Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 15.817,78) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guy Wiggins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The New York Stock Exchange im Dezember 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 374.400,00 (€ 316.162,81).
