Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Australian Shield (1) by Guy Warren for AUD 3,900.00 (€ 2,398.04). This price was achieved in the auction Important Australian Art Including Works from the Qantas Collection at Sothebys in Sydney and was even below the estimate range of AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Guy Warren have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Wingman And Mountain in May 2007 with an auction result of AUD 18,000.00 (€ 11,067.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Australian Shield (1) von Guy Warren für AUD 3.900,00 (€ 2.398,04) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Important Australian Art Including Works from the Qantas Collection bei Sothebys in Sydney erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guy Warren auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Wingman And Mountain im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 18.000,00 (€ 11.067,87).
