Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2007 Sothebys in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art Including Works from the Qantas Collection, which included the work Australian Kakadu by Guy Warren. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 8,400.00 (€ 5,165.00). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Guy Warren - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Australian Wingman And Mountain, which sold at auction in May 2007 for AUD 18,000.00 (€ 11,067.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2007 führte Sothebys in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art Including Works from the Qantas Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Kakadu von Guy Warren zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 8.400,00 (€ 5.165,00) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Guy Warren mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Australian Wingman And Mountain beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für AUD 18.000,00 (€ 11.067,87) versteigert wurde.
