In November 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Art, which included the work Untitled (Spring Landscape) by Guy Rose. The »bidding war« ended at USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,174.47), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guy Rose achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Incoming Fog, La Jolla in May 2001 with an auction result of USD 545,000.00 (€ 644,589.00).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im November 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Spring Landscape) von Guy Rose zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 35.174,47) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Guy Rose erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Incoming Fog, La Jolla im Mai 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 545.000,00 (€ 644.589,00).
