The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,280.00 (€ 1,875.31), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustavo Foppiani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Citta' Su Misura Per Marlon, 1971, which sold at auction in April 2008 for EUR 7,063.00.

Die Arbeit Figura e maschere sul tavolo von Gustavo Foppiani wurde im Januar 2006 in der Auktion The House Sale bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.280,00 (€ 1.875,31) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustavo Foppiani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Citta' Su Misura Per Marlon, 1971 beobachtet, die im April 2008 für EUR 7.063,00 versteigert wurde.
