Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Rive de la Seine au Petit-Gennevilliers by Gustave Caillebotte was auctioned at Christies in New York in November 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 3,500,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 3,615,000.00 (€ 3,280,696.98). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gustave Caillebotte achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jeune homme à sa fenêtre in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 53,030,000.00 (€ 46,983,255.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Rive de la Seine au Petit-Gennevilliers von Gustave Caillebotte kam im November 2019 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 3.500.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 3.615.000,00 (€ 3.280.696,98) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gustave Caillebotte erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jeune homme à sa fenêtre im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 53.030.000,00 (€ 46.983.255,07).
