Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2017 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work The World You Left by Gustave Asselbergs. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 9,375.00 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gustave Asselbergs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Amerika, Amerika, which sold at auction in April 2011 for EUR 27,150.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2017 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The World You Left von Gustave Asselbergs zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 9.375,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Gustave Asselbergs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Amerika, Amerika beobachtet, die im April 2011 für EUR 27.150,00 versteigert wurde.
