Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Shrimps by Guo Dawei for HKD 5,100.00 (€ 567.30). This price was achieved in the auction Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online at Bonhams in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Guo Dawei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Zhou Zhou in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,558.56).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Oktober 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Shrimps von Guo Dawei für HKD 5.100,00 (€ 567,30) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online bei Bonhams in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Guo Dawei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Zhou Zhou im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.558,56).
