Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2000 Christies in Melbourne held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work Icebound by Gunter Christmann. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 2,820.00 (€ 1,706.79). Admittedly, works by Gunter Christmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Heavy Topscape in March 2006 with an auction result of AUD 28,680.00 (€ 16,928.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2000 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Icebound von Gunter Christmann zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 2.820,00 (€ 1.706,79) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gunter Christmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Heavy Topscape im März 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 28.680,00 (€ 16.928,26).
