Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work North by Gunter Christmann was auctioned at Christies in Melbourne in April 2006. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 8,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 8,962.50 (€ 5,390.71). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gunter Christmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heavy Topscape, which sold at auction in March 2006 for AUD 28,680.00 (€ 16,928.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit North von Gunter Christmann kam im April 2006 bei Christies in Melbourne zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 8.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 8.962,50 (€ 5.390,71) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gunter Christmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heavy Topscape beobachtet, die im März 2006 für AUD 28.680,00 (€ 16.928,26) versteigert wurde.
