Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gunter Sachs achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in February 2018. In the Erotic: Passion & Desire auction, the work Ascot, 1995 sold for GBP 40,000.00 (€ 45,185.49) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gunter Sachs have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ascot, 1995 in May 2012 with an auction result of GBP 205,250.00 (€ 255,732.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Gunter Sachs erzielte im Februar 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Erotic: Passion & Desire wurde die Arbeit Ascot, 1995 für GBP 40.000,00 (€ 45.185,49) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gunter Sachs auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ascot, 1995 im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 205.250,00 (€ 255.732,47).
