Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Gui Dian was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 5,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 6,250.00 (€ 672.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gui Dian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couplet In Seal Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 18,000.00 (€ 18,381.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Gui Dian kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 5.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 6.250,00 (€ 672,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gui Dian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couplet In Seal Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.000,00 (€ 18.381,52).
