A top price for Gui Dian
This artwork by Gui Dian achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Couplet In Seal Script sold for HKD 18,000.00 (€ 18,381.52) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 10,000.00. This high result makes Couplet In Seal Script the most expensive artwork by Gui Dian that we have observed at auctions so far.
