Seven-character Poem in Running Script Scroll, mounted for framing, ink on gold-flecked paper 127 x 30.3 cm. (50 x 11 7 ⁄ 8 in.) Auction result well in line with expectations
In December last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Poem by Chen Li in Running Script / Seven-character Poem in Running Script by Gui Dian. It changed hands for a price of HKD 18,900.00 (€ 2,264.89) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gui Dian have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couplet In Seal Script in April this year with an auction result of HKD 18,000.00 (€ 18,381.52).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Poem by Chen Li in Running Script / Seven-character Poem in Running Script von Gui Dian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 18.900,00 (€ 2.264,89) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gui Dian auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couplet In Seal Script im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 18.000,00 (€ 18.381,52).
