Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Four putti holding attributes in a landscape by Guglielmo Caccia for USD 4,700.00 (€ 5,468.93). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and 19th Century Drawings including Property from at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Guglielmo Caccia achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family with Saint Anthony Abbot and angels in July 2008 with an auction result of GBP 51,650.00 (€ 65,621.91).
