A top price for Guan Ping
When the work Princess Travelling To The West by Guan Ping was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 80,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at HKD 375,000.00 (€ 43,339.01). This high result makes Princess Travelling To The West the most expensive artwork by Guan Ping that we have observed at auctions so far.
