Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Joy Of Fishing Among Lake And Mountains by Gu Linshi for USD 16,250.00 (€ 14,901.42). This price was achieved in the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Gu Linshi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 129,056.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Joy Of Fishing Among Lake And Mountains von Gu Linshi für USD 16.250,00 (€ 14.901,42) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gu Linshi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 129.056,94).
