Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Gu Linshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape After Wang Yuanqi sold for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 39,840.19) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gu Linshi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in October 2013 for HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 129,056.94).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gu Linshi erzielte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape After Wang Yuanqi für HKD 350.000,00 (€ 39.840,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gu Linshi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 129.056,94) versteigert wurde.
