The work Landscape After Wang Shen by Gu Linshi was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2017. The result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,697.88) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gu Linshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 1,360,000.00 (€ 129,056.94).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Landscape After Wang Shen von Gu Linshi wurde im September 2017 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.697,88) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gu Linshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.360.000,00 (€ 129.056,94).
