This artwork by Gu Fuzhen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2011. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Travelling in the Mountains sold for HKD 1,220,000.00 (€ 109,134.67) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. Admittedly, works by Gu Fuzhen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscapes and Figures in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 6,040,000.00 (€ 698,547.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Gu Fuzhen erzielte im Mai 2011 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Travelling in the Mountains für HKD 1.220.000,00 (€ 109.134,67) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 600.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Gu Fuzhen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscapes and Figures im Juni 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.040.000,00 (€ 698.547,61).
