This artwork by Gregory Kondos achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in September this year. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online auction, the work River Poles, Sacramento River, 1979 sold for USD 8,960.00 (€ 8,465.61) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gregory Kondos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Yountville, California Napa Valley, 1985, which sold at auction in September last year for USD 31,875.00 (€ 32,582.03).

In der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made in California Part II Online wurde die Arbeit River Poles, Sacramento River, 1979 für USD 8.960,00 (€ 8.465,61) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gregory Kondos mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Yountville, California Napa Valley, 1985 beobachtet, die im September letzten Jahres für USD 31.875,00 (€ 32.582,03) versteigert wurde.
