Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A winter scene; and A view of Jacques-Francois-Joseph Saly's equestrian statue of King Frederik V (1723-1766) by Grand Duchess Olga was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 200,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 2,375.00 (€ 2,850.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grand Duchess Olga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Self-portrait with easel; Four landscapes; and Floral study in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 64,058.26).

Die Arbeit A winter scene; and A view of Jacques-Francois-Joseph Saly's equestrian statue of King Frederik V (1723-1766) von Grand Duchess Olga kam im Juni 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 200.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 2.375,00 (€ 2.850,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grand Duchess Olga erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Self-portrait with easel; Four landscapes; and Floral study im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 56.250,00 (€ 64.058,26).
