A top price for Grafflex - as previously expected
In October 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art Online: A Moveable Feast, which included the work Babylon by Grafflex. It changed hands for a price of HKD 40,000.00 (€ 4,430.33) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 32,000.00 – 42,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Babylon is the most expensive artwork by Grafflex that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art Online: A Moveable Feast durch, in der auch die Arbeit Babylon von Grafflex zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 40.000,00 (€ 4.430,33) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 32.000,00 – 42.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Babylon das teuerste Kunstwerk von Grafflex, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
