Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Folio No. 6, 25 February 1938, 8Pm, No. 8 by Grace Pailthorpe was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2006. The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,960.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Grace Pailthorpe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sans titre in March this year with an auction result of EUR 21,675.00.

Die Arbeit Folio No. 6, 25 February 1938, 8Pm, No. 8 von Grace Pailthorpe kam im November 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.960,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Grace Pailthorpe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sans titre im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.675,00.
