Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Grace Pailthorpe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in March this year. In the La Révolution Surréaliste auction, the work Sans titre sold for EUR 6,375.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Grace Pailthorpe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans titre, which sold at auction in March this year for EUR 21,675.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Grace Pailthorpe erzielte im März diesen Jahres bei Bonhams einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion La Révolution Surréaliste wurde die Arbeit Sans titre für EUR 6.375,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Grace Pailthorpe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans titre beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für EUR 21.675,00 versteigert wurde.
