Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale, which included this untitled work by Grace Pailthorpe. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,570.00 (€ 4,232.64). Admittedly, works by Grace Pailthorpe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sans titre in March this year with an auction result of EUR 21,675.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Grace Pailthorpe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.570,00 (€ 4.232,64) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Grace Pailthorpe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sans titre im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 21.675,00.
