This work without title by Grace Pailthorpe was worth GBP 14,000.00 (€ 16,598.58) to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale at Bonhams in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Grace Pailthorpe; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Sans titre sold at auction in March this year with the realized price of EUR 21,675.00.
