Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bony Labyrinth by Grace Hartigan was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Bonhams in New York in November 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 200,312.50 (€ 177,471.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Grace Hartigan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Early November in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,380,000.00 (€ 1,285,993.85).
