Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Grace Carpenter Hudson achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in August 2020. In the California and Western Art auction, the work Untitled (Papoose) sold for USD 16,325.00 (€ 13,677.11) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Grace Carpenter Hudson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Watermelon 24 x 29 1/2 in. framed 31 x 37 in. in November last year with an auction result of USD 69,675.00 (€ 67,494.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Grace Carpenter Hudson erzielte im August 2020 bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California and Western Art wurde die Arbeit Untitled (Papoose) für USD 16.325,00 (€ 13.677,11) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Grace Carpenter Hudson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Watermelon 24 x 29 1/2 in. framed 31 x 37 in. im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 69.675,00 (€ 67.494,91).
