A top price for Grace Carpenter Hudson - as previously expected
The work The Watermelon 24 x 29 1/2 in. framed 31 x 37 in. by Grace Carpenter Hudson was auctioned at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The price achieved of USD 69,675.00 (€ 67,494.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Watermelon 24 x 29 1/2 in. framed 31 x 37 in. is the most expensive artwork by Grace Carpenter Hudson that we have observed at auctions so far.
