Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Eva with Greenie 10 x 14 in. framed 15 x 19 in. by Grace Carpenter Hudson was sold in the The Collection of G. Andrew Bjurman auction at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 10,200.00 (€ 9,880.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Grace Carpenter Hudson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Watermelon 24 x 29 1/2 in. framed 31 x 37 in. in November last year with an auction result of USD 69,675.00 (€ 67,494.91).
