In September 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture, which included the work Flea Bitten But Free by Gordon Snidow. The auction ended at the price of USD 20,000.00 (€ 14,704.80), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Snidow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The American Beauty, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 37,812.50 (€ 32,044.49).

Im September 2010 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion American Paintings, Drawings & Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flea Bitten But Free von Gordon Snidow zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 20.000,00 (€ 14.704,80) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gordon Snidow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The American Beauty beobachtet, die im August 2021 für USD 37.812,50 (€ 32.044,49) versteigert wurde.
