Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Crazy Quilt by Gordon Snidow for USD 10,837.50 (€ 9,184.32). This price was achieved in the auction Western Art at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gordon Snidow - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The American Beauty, which sold at auction in August 2021 for USD 37,812.50 (€ 32,044.49).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im August 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Crazy Quilt von Gordon Snidow für USD 10.837,50 (€ 9.184,32) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Western Art bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Gordon Snidow mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The American Beauty beobachtet, die im August 2021 für USD 37.812,50 (€ 32.044,49) versteigert wurde.
