Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Amorous Landscape by Gordon Onslow-Ford was sold in the Impressionist and Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in New York in February 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,812.50 (€ 9,566.33) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gordon Onslow-Ford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Parliament Of Space Makers in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 229,000.00 (€ 155,909.59).

Die Arbeit Amorous Landscape von Gordon Onslow-Ford wurde im Februar 2001 in der Auktion Impressionist and Modern, Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 8.812,50 (€ 9.566,33) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
