Despite a disappointment, a good price for Gordon Coster
In October 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Bicycle Racer by Gordon Coster for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,066.89). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Despite this disappointing result, Bicycle Racer is the most expensive artwork by Gordon Coster that we have observed at auction so far.
