Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Man And Woman by Gonzalo Cienfuegos was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2008. The price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 17,724.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gonzalo Cienfuegos - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sin título, which sold at auction in June 2000 for USD 44,650.00 (€ 46,778.42).
