In May 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work Bogotá by Gonzalo Ariza. The »bidding war« ended at USD 22,500.00 (€ 18,197.99), 50% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Bogotá the most expensive artwork by Gonzalo Ariza that we have observed at auctions so far.
