Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Elation by Gonkar Gyatso for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,243.85). This price was achieved in the auction FIRST OPEN | Hong Kong at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Gonkar Gyatso achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Endless Knot in October 2012 with an auction result of GBP 169,250.00 (€ 210,432.69).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Elation von Gonkar Gyatso für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.243,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion FIRST OPEN | Hong Kong bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Gonkar Gyatso erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Endless Knot im Oktober 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 169.250,00 (€ 210.432,69).
