A top price for Go Yayanagi
The work The Ominous Moment before being Pounded in the Sand by Go Yayanagi was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2009. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 320,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 350,000.00 (€ 30,112.04). With this result, The Ominous Moment before being Pounded in the Sand is even the most expensive work of art by Go Yayanagi that we have observed at auctions so far.
