Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Red Lamp by Go Yayanagi was sold in the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2015. The price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 6,160.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Go Yayanagi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Ominous Moment before being Pounded in the Sand in November 2009 with an auction result of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 30,112.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Red Lamp von Go Yayanagi wurde im Mai 2015 in der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 6.160,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Go Yayanagi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Ominous Moment before being Pounded in the Sand im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 30.112,04).
