Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Acrobats by Glynn Williams was worth GBP 52,500.00 (€ 61,944.84) to a buyer in November 2016. This price was achieved in the auction Day Auction at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Glynn Williams; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Two Girls From 1907 (After Picasso) sold at auction in November 2016 with the realized price of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 66,369.47).
