Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Awelye For Arnkerthe (The Mountain Devil Lizard) by Gloria Tamerre Petyarre was sold in the CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2001. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 2,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 2,820.00 (€ 1,619.42). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Gloria Tamerre Petyarre - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Arnherrthe #8, which sold at auction in March 2021 for GBP 4,032.00 (€ 4,736.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Awelye For Arnkerthe (The Mountain Devil Lizard) von Gloria Tamerre Petyarre wurde im April 2001 in der Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 2.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 2.820,00 (€ 1.619,42) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Gloria Tamerre Petyarre mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Arnherrthe #8 beobachtet, die im März 2021 für GBP 4.032,00 (€ 4.736,56) versteigert wurde.
