Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2005 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Brooklyn Skyline by Glenn O. Coleman. It changed hands for a price of USD 14,400.00 (€ 11,942.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Glenn O. Coleman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Dock, which sold at auction in May this year for USD 42,240.00 (€ 39,647.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Brooklyn Skyline von Glenn O. Coleman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 14.400,00 (€ 11.942,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Glenn O. Coleman mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Dock beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 42.240,00 (€ 39.647,08) versteigert wurde.
